There's an important distinction most people miss. A "pet nutritionist" is a largely unregulated title — anyone can claim it after a short online course. Most qualified vets don't study nutrition in depth either. A board-certified veterinary nutritionist is the rare overlap: a fully qualified vet who has completed years of postgraduate specialisation in clinical animal nutrition and passed rigorous board examinations. In Europe, there are only a handful. The equivalent of a consultant surgeon versus a GP.
